| Introduction to TView
Designed to create out-of-the-window and sensor scenes for training and simulation, TView generates photo-realistic visual and sensor scenes of real-world locations. TView is capable of rendering scenes of virtually unlimited size with a true replication of natural appearance and meteorological conditions. TView runs on standard, Windows PC platforms.
TView Capabilities
High Polygon Capacity at 60 Hz refresh - All polygons are fully rendered, textured, shaded, anti-aliased, filtered, fogged, illuminated, and prioritized.
Real-world visibility ranges and fields of view - Visibility ranges from in-door scenes and out to 150 km from the designed eye-point without switching databases.
Superior Image Quality - Supports multi sub-sample full scene anti-aliasing. Supports multi and detailed textures and endless levels-of-detail for photo-textures.
Geo-specific - scene generation of up to 25 cm ground resolution
Innovative streaming mechanism - enables geo-specific terrain models of unlimited size.
Large Area Database - supports thousands of square miles of sub meter/pixel data.
Moving Models & Special Effects - supports hundreds of moving objects, articulated parts and special effects. Smoke, explosions, fire, flares, trails, turbulent air, camouflage smoke, vehicle dust and wind dust.
Dynamic Shadows - supports full scene shadows according to time of day, date and geographic location.
Multiple Channels - supports genlocked graphic cards.
Atmospheric effects - rain, fog, haze, thunderstorm, volumetric clouds and sun glint.
Dynamic Terrain - Real-time modification of terrain and objects including battlefield craters.
Sensor Simulation - realistic sensor simulation, accurate representation of the geospatial environment, materials physics and device operational effects. A physical model that includes: AGC, white noise, detector noise, AC coupling/DC restoration, signal processing effects, white hot/black hot, droop correction, dynamic range compression and more.
NVG - supports blooming, halo and automatic gain control effects. Full moon and stars simulation including real-time moon shadows.
Mission Functions - line of sight, coverage, distance, height above terrain and more.
DIS / HLA / CIGI compliance.
2D Overlays - symbols, bitmap icons and text fonts in any size color or type presented over the terrain.
Database Interoperability - Via the import and export of terrain and feature models in such industry standards as: OpenFlight, GeoTiff image files, ESRI SHP & DXF vector files, models & animations in D3D, 3DMax, and 3DS. Natively works with COTS photogrammetric, remote-sensing, modeling and texturing tools such as: Adobe Photoshop™, Discreete 3DMax, MultiGen Creator™, ERDAS Imagine™ and ESRI ArcView™.
